Panasonic GH5 Autofocus Issue Forces Panasonic to Release Official Statement

For the past few days a controversy has been raging regarding the autofocus system of the newly launched Panasonic GH5. The autofocus of the camera seems to lag behind when one tries to use it during 4K shooting. Now this Panasonic GH5 autofocus issue has forced the company to release an official state (see the video below).

According to the statement, Panasonic is working on to improve and resolve the Panasonic GH5 autofocus issue. The company suggests that users select 1 area AF in 30P or 60P frame rate for a more accurate and comfortable autofocus speed. When you select 24P, choose 1 area AF. If you are experiencing slower AF speed even then, then the company suggests that you override the autofocus by pressing the shutter button half-way.
